These words remind us that the ministry of the Church belongs to the whole body of Christ. Our pastors are called to proclaim the Gospel and administer the Sacraments, while Gods people are equipped and called to serve in many different ways. The Unsung Heroes Behind the Scenes This month, we give special thanks for the many unsung heroes behind the scenes who help keep Redeemer Lutheran Church functioning. Their work may not always be visible, but it is invaluable. From maintaining our facilities and worship space, caring for the grounds, organizing fellowship, preparing meals, assisting with worship services and Bible study, providing online access to services and resources, providing music, welcoming others, praying and caring for members who are in need, and those tending to administrative and financial responsibilities, these servants faithfully handle the countless details that make congregational life possible. Their work helps create the environment in which we gather as Gods people for worship, fellowship, and study. Because of their faithful service, our congregation is able to function smoothly and our pastors can focus on their sacred calling to preach Christs Gospel and administer His gifts through Word and Sacrament. To all who give their time, talents, abilities, and resources—whether your service is seen by many or known only to a few—thank you. Your work matters. Your service strengthens the body of Christ, and through it, God continues to build up His Church. As we continue through the Church Year, the lectionary also directs our hearts toward Christs promised return. We remain watchful, not with fear, but with joyful confidence in the Savior who redeemed us and who will come again. May the Holy Spirit strengthen each of us through Gods Word and the Sacraments, that we may faithfully use whatever gifts we have received to serve one another and build up the body of Christ. Thank you for all you do for Redeemer Lutheran Church. Life of the Church — September-- Sunday Worship Join us each Sunday as we gather around Gods Word and receive Christs gifts in the Sacrament. Preparing Our Hearts for Worship - The sanctuary is a place for prayer and preparation before Divine Service. We encourage conversation and fellowship to continue in the narthex or fellowship hall during the ten minutes before worship. Sunday Fellowship & Bible Study - Stay after worship for refreshments and fellowship, followed by Sunday morning Bible Study. Come enjoy the opportunity to grow together in Gods Word. Choir Rehearsal - Choir rehearsal resumes Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. New voices are always welcome! Women's Prayer Breakfast - Saturday, September 5 • 11:00 a.m. A morning of prayer, Scripture, fellowship, and encouragement. Women's Bible Study - Saturday, September 12 • 11:00 a.m. Age of Grace: Never Too Old to Serve Join us as we explore how God continues to use His people in every season of life. Lunch and fellowship follow. Remember Our Shut-Ins - Please keep our homebound members in your prayers. A card, phone call, or visit is a wonderful way to remind them that they remain an important part of our church family. Help us to recognize the gifts You have entrusted to each of us and to use them faithfully in service to one another. Bless all who serve Your Church, both publicly and behind the scenes. Strengthen our pastors as they proclaim Your Gospel and administer Your Sacraments.
